Susan Arnold will be the chairman of The Walt Disney’s board of directors on December 31, the first woman to lead the company in 98 years. This is stated in a statement by the company .

Arnold will replace Robert Eiger, who left Disney’s chief executive last year. At the end of 2021, Eiger completely resigned from the management of the company.
Susan Arnold has been a member of the Disney Board for 14 years and has held the position of Independent CEO since 2018. According to Eiger, Arnold is the “perfect choice” in his place and the company “has good opportunities for success.”
The new leader promises to “serve the long-term interests of shareholders” and work with CEO Bob Chapek.
Arnold has also been the CEO of Carlyle Group for the past 8 years and has served as a manager at Procter and Gamble and McDonald’s.
