kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – December 5,2021- A volcanic eruption in Semeru in the Indonesian province of East Java has killed at least 13 people and forced thousands to flee their homes.
According to the latest data released by the Indonesian authorities, the volcanic eruption killed 13 people and injured 98, including two pregnant women.
Evacuation centers have been set up in schools, mosques and public buildings in the region.
Search and rescue operations are underway, the number of missing is being clarified.
Semera, which is 3676 meters high, is the highest volcano in Java – the most populous island in Indonesia.
