kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – December 6,2021- US President Anthony Fauci’s chief medical advisor has stated that the Omicron coronavirus strain may be less dangerous than Delta, although there is not enough information for final conclusions.
“It doesn’t look like a high degree of danger yet,” he said. “But we really need to be careful before drawing any conclusions about the fact that it is less threatening or that it does not really cause a severe course of the disease compared to the Delta.”
According to Fauci, the White House is considering lifting restrictions on entry to the United States for South Africans.
“I hope we will be able to lift this ban within a reasonable period of time,” he said. “We are very sorry for the difficulties that have been created not only for South Africa but also for other African countries.”
The Omicron strain has already been found in many US states. The latest information on isolated infections with this strain came from Wisconsin, Missouri and Louisiana.
