Reza Rezamanda, a 37-year-old British resident and bodybuilder, overcame sepsis in 2016 after a sunburn.

In 2016, the man was bitten by the sun, as a result of which his leg was swollen and blackened, and sepsis developed. Doctors gave only a 30% chance that he would survive.
However, he recovered and recently won a competition organized by the Natural Bodybuilding Federation in London.
“I am getting stronger, my leg is much better, these are just side effects of the medications I was taking and we are still struggling with them because it was not a very pleasant experience, I can assure you that I feel much better than when it was, and … I remember the hard way I went, ”says Rezamanda.
The bodybuilder also admitted that he had a phobia of insects. In his opinion, this experience will stay with him “for life”. In the future, he plans to lose weight to participate in competitions, and also wants to continue to win awards.
“It was great because I went through a lot of physical and mental pain to be able to get on this stage, to get on this stage and to be able to win and bring four medals. It was a great end to my 2021, it was not an easy journey, but I am grateful for the support, ”said the man.
