This was announced on Monday by the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleg Nemchinov following a meeting of the State Commission on Energy and Emergency Situations .

“Based on the results, the State Commission decided to cancel the” red “level of epidemic danger in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Luhansk, Lviv, Odessa, Rivne, Kherson regions and the city of Kyiv from 00:00 on December 7, 2021,” Nemchinov wrote. in its Telegram channel.
Nemchinov reminded that new quarantine rules, adopted by the government last week, came into force in Ukraine on December 6. They will primarily affect unvaccinated Ukrainians. Now only those who have received at least one dose of vaccination against COVID-19 and have the appropriate document – “yellow” COVID-certificate or certificate 063 / o will be able to visit public institutions at the “yellow” level of epidemic danger.
“Employees of restaurants, hotels and gyms will need to have at least one vaccination against COVID-19 to serve visitors and customers. At the same time, it will be possible to use a negative test, which is valid for 72 hours, or an alternative document – COVID-certificate of recovery, to visit public institutions, “he said.
According to him, thus, at the “yellow” level of epidemiological danger, public institutions will not be able to serve customers, as well as allow to work those who do not have one of these documents.

The burden on the health care system, according to reports, is also gradually decreasing – resuscitation beds are now occupied by 55%, the occupancy of oxygen beds for the week decreased from 48% to 40%. At the same time, patients who receive oxygen therapy occupy 33% of all covid beds. The Ministry of Health also reported that in 16 regions of the country 40% of the adult population has at least one vaccination against COVID-19. In 6 regions, 40% of the population has already completed a full course of vaccination.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health noted that no strain of Omicron has been detected in Ukraine to date.
Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and in the summer transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine.
On September 13, the government imposed new quarantine rules. They came into force in a week – on September 20. The main feature of the new rules is that vaccinated people with a COVID certificate are asked not to apply certain restrictions, including the “red” zone. There are two types of certificates – “yellow” and “green”.
On September 20, the government extended the quarantine until the new year. Ukraine has been in the “yellow” quarantine zone since September 23. Subsequently, 18 oblasts and Kyiv joined the “red” zone.
On December 6, new quarantine rules came into force, which provide for tightening restrictions in the “yellow” zones. Thus, attending public events, cinemas, theaters, catering establishments and gyms will be allowed only if 100% of teams and visitors have at least one dose of vaccination, a negative test or a certificate of recovery.
