The National Commission for Regulation of Economic Competition stated that, according to their information, today the supplier of “last resort” provides natural gas to more than 347 thousand household consumers from different regions of Ukraine. And that “due to the trend of rapid increase in natural gas prices, from 01.12.2021 the price of natural gas sales by the supplier of” last resort “for the needs of household consumers is about 30 UAH per 1 cubic meter.”
At the same time, they reminded that the regulator is empowered to make decisions on gas supply to household consumers by the supplier of “last resort” on the terms of a standard contract for natural gas supply to household consumers and the basic annual offer.:
In connection with the above and at the request of Naftogaz Ukrainy LLC, on December 9, 2021 the NCRECP will consider a decision on the adoption of a decision that will allow household consumers to receive gas on the basis of the basic annual offer of Naftogaz Ukrainy LLC. “, Namely at the price of UAH 7.96 per 1 cubic meter (including VAT)”, – said in a statement the regulator.

Naftogaz Ukrainy gas supply company was identified by the Cabinet of Ministers as the supplier of last resort in July 2020 for a period of three years.
On December 1, the Civil Code announced that the price of gas for customers receiving natural gas from the supplier of last resort, without the support of the National Commission for Regulation of Economic Competition to stabilize prices since December, may change daily and may exceed UAH 30 per cubic meter. m.
Thus, the price of PON as of December 3 was UAH 45.126703 per 1 cubic meter. m (including VAT).
In addition, according to Naftogaz Ukrainy, this company, as a supplier of “last hope” in the gas market, serves more than 600,000 customers. The annual “fixed” tariff of Naftogaz Ukrainy for the population is UAH 7.96 per cubic meter. m. PON services must be paid for.
