kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – December 11,2021-The Telegram of the Kyiv City State Administration published as of December 15, in the capital, almost 200 official fairs for the sale of live Christmas trees will begin.
“The cost of conifers at official points of sale will range from UAH 150 to UAH 500. The fairs will run in all districts of the capital until December 31,” the statement reads.
The Kyiv City State Administration emphasizes that all Christmas trees, pines and spruces should be chipped or contain barcode labels with all the information about the tree. This protects consumers from buying illegally felled trees.
The Christmas tree will be solemnly lit in the capital on December 19. The 31-meter-high tree shines with a 10-kilometer garland in the form of a large dome. Around the Christmas tree there are entertainment locations: photo areas, children’s games, a workshop, a museum of Christmas decorations, a stage where performances and competitions will be held.
