kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – December 12,2021- US White House Correspondent Catherine Doyle said US President Joe Biden has said US forces have no plans to deploy to Ukraine to prevent a possible Russian invasion.
Earlier, Biden said that in the event of an invasion of Ukraine, the West will impose tough economic sanctions against Russia, which have never been applied before.
“The impact of all this on Russia and the attitude of the whole world to it, the view of it will change significantly,” Biden said, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin “realized the gravity of the possible consequences.”
The White House chief added that he had made it clear to Putin that the United States would continue to provide defense assistance to Ukraine.
The presidents of the United States and Russia spoke in secure video communication on Tuesday, December 7. The issue of Russia’s military escalation near Ukraine’s border was one of the main ones during these talks.
