kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – December 14,2021- The Verkhovna Rada has rejected all 24 draft resolutions proposing to cancel the November 30 parliamentary decision to adopt the bill “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine to Ensure Balance of Budget Revenues” (5600 yen).
None of the projects received the required minimum of 226 votes from parliamentarians.
At Tuesday’s meeting, deputies rejected 10 projects. Another 14 similar documents were rejected by parliamentarians at the previous plenary session.
The authors of the draft resolutions were members of the European Solidarity and Batkivshchyna factions.
The initiators of the projects justified their position by saying that the law was allegedly passed in gross violation of the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada. Namely, the proposed procedure for considering the amendments contradicted Article 45 of the Rules of Procedure, as MPs did not have the opportunity to clearly understand what they were voting for.
After the rejection of all draft resolutions, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk must sign the legislative act and send it for signature to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Verkhovna Rada at its plenary session on November 30, 2021 adopted the law “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Certain Legislative Acts to Ensure Balanced Budget Revenues” (№5600).
The document improves a number of provisions of the Tax Code related to tax administration, corporate income tax, personal income tax, VAT, excise and environmental taxes, rent, land fees, conditions of stay of companies and individuals-entrepreneurs on the simplified taxation system.
