EasyMile has received a permit to carry passengers on public roads without a driver. The bus can be operated without the presence of the operator.
It is known that EasyMile EZ10 became the first unmanned bus in France. It has been tested in more than 400 locations around the world, including the University of Madrid campus.
From the beginning of December 2021, EasyMile EZ10 transports students to the Oncopole Medical Campus in Toulouse. Other cars, motorcycles, electric scooters and pedestrians move freely on it. However, this does not prevent the bus from running on the route without a driver at a maximum speed of 40 km / h.
It is reported that EasyMile EZ10 is designed to carry 12 passengers. It is equipped with a leader, GPS-tracker, distance meter, as well as cameras and sensors that generate a three-dimensional image of everything that happens around. The software automatically determines what to do if a bus encounters an obstacle.
