It is believed that the famous cocktail of vodka and tomato juice was invented by French bartender Fernand Petot.
A century ago, he worked at the popular Parisian institution “Gerry”, which still thrives. There are several versions about the origin of the name. One of them is that Petyo was in love with the dancer Mary, who worked in a cabaret with the strange name “Bucket of Blood”. So at the time of making a new cocktail, the idea of ”Bloody Mary” arose.

Ingredients:
tomato juice – 150 ml
vodka – 40 ml
spicy tabasco sauce – a few drops
Worcestershire sauce (if any) – a few drops
pinch of salt and black pepper
celery stalk for decoration
lemon – 20 ml
salt
ground black pepper
ice
Preparation:
- Pour tomato juice into a mixing bowl, add vodka, lemon juice, a few drops of tabasco and Worcestershire sauces, salt to taste and pepper. Stir the mixture well.
- Put a few ice cubes in a glass and pour the finished cocktail into it. To decorate the cocktail we use a celery stalk and a slice of lemon
