Before the New Year, you should have time to do certain things.
The end of the year is a great time to reflect on the past 12 months and think about the future. To go into the new year with positivity and energy to achieve the goals, you should take care of it before it comes. We will talk about what should be done now to change lives in the new year .

Save the memories
Take time to reflect on your memories of the past, good and bad. Use your phone to help yourself with this: look at the posts on social networks that you have published, read the notes, view photos.
Save important memories by creating a photo album or placing printed photos in a frame or on a cork board. To these you can add quotes that supported you this year, magazine clippings, screenshots of important messages for you – all that brought emotion. Such a “memory board” can be made digitally – by compiling it in an editor or simply by selecting a separate folder in the cloud storage or on a computer. This will help you find out what your dreams and goals have come true and what you should do next year.
Take care of your well-being
Develop the right financial habits that you will use next year. Make a simple table or chart of your income and expenses by week or month. Set a budget for your spending on food, car, utilities and other aspects of life. Make a note of the date in your diary to check your finances, check your bank statements, pay your bills, and track your expenses on a monthly basis. And do not forget to put in the budget for January the amount you are willing to spend on holidays.
Mark all events and special occasions
Use the printed calendar for the next year or the application on your phone. Bring special events and dates, including birthdays and anniversaries, so you don’t forget anyone. Check your calendar regularly or set reminders – preferably two: a few days before an important event and the day it takes place. For example, before a friend’s birthday you will definitely have time to buy a gift and congratulate him in time.
Set important goals in advance
Don’t wait until Monday in the new year to set goals for your future accomplishments. And our circumstances and priorities change throughout the year, so it’s important to review your goals to make sure they’re still relevant. Write them down in a notebook or planner so you don’t forget anything.
Set an agenda
We can make big plans for big things, but often the little things we do every day matter the most. Establish several daily routines and habits to monitor your home, your time and yourself and notice how they affect your life day by day. Do it now to form a habit and move on with it in the new year.
Remember what you did well last year
Too often, people associate the end of one year and the process of setting goals for the next with thinking about all the things they didn’t do so well last year. Sometimes it’s good to be a self-critical person, but don’t allow yourself to get so caught up in it that you forget about your accomplishments.
Even if you really feel that there is a lot of room for growth in the new year, it is worth celebrating your victories. For example, giving up bad habits, career growth, experience and knowledge, great memories and changes for the better. Be sure to find something to praise yourself for and do it to move on to the next year with positivity and gratitude to yourself.
Put things in order
According to Psychology Today, disorder can lead to deteriorating mental health, unhealthy diet, inefficient mental processes and overall lower quality of life. And you shouldn’t start the year with such things.
We do not offer cleaning in all the cluttered places in your life for a few weeks before the new year. Start with one and move on.
Take time to take care of yourself
Whether you have a day, a week or a month left in the year, you need to set aside time to take care of yourself. You don’t have to book a day at the spa – we often make it too difficult to take care of ourselves. And at the same time we deny ourselves, because we believe that it is too difficult or takes too much time. In fact, taking care of yourself consists of simple things that you love – they are worth the time.
For example, if you enjoy sitting in your favorite cafe, reading a magazine and drinking coffee, it’s time to do it. Or plan a day when you can lie in the bathroom and spend the evening watching the show. And if you enjoy outdoor activities or needlework, take the time to do them.
This will create a positive mood for next year, and also help to relaxand distract from the pre-holiday bustle.
