Captain Krystyna Yakimik-Jarosz of the Podlasie Border Service’s press office said that Belarusian services were helping migrants cross: “A group of 24 Iraqis crossed the Svisloch River by pontoon to the Polish side. Of course, the Belarusian services helped the migrants in this crossing. We detained all these people and, according to the current rules, brought them to the state border line. These people were dry, their clothes were not wet, they were all in very good health. So, nothing happened to anyone. “
