Why are we afraid to celebrate alone
Many people are afraid of loneliness, and especially on New Year’s Eve. This is a really common fear, especially now that we depend on society.
We may fear loneliness if there is emptiness or emotional deficits inside. This can happen when, for some reason, as we grow older, we are not filled with the energy of love, care, and support from our parents. And in this case, we are constantly subconsciously and consciously looking for the presence of someone around, so that person fills us or compensates for this inner lack. And when we are left alone, we can feel great discomfort.
The practice of getting rid of fear
It is very important to learn to recognize the feelings that create this discomfort and, accordingly, to fill yourself with resources to heal the inner emptiness and deficits. To do this, just give yourself 10 minutes and do a little practice:
As soon as it becomes emotionally difficult, you need to stop and ask yourself – how do I feel now? Name it or write it down.
Find a location where these feelings and emotions are in the body – everywhere or at a certain point.
Translate this feeling into a metaphor – what color, texture, temperature and what it feels like.
The most important thing is to imagine how, for example, gray and cold in the chest begins to fill your whole body. Just let it happen and breathe deeply.
See what feeling will come next. If there is still discomfort, return to point 1. This means that there is still a layer or layers of unpleasant feelings.
Perform cycles until a resource appears under it, such as calm, relaxation, excitement, etc.
This is a very simple and effective way to remove energy from the associative series and integrate it into your reality.
She herself – and nothing wrong
If we make such a decision and dive inside ourselves to meet this discomfort, recognize it, experience and live properly, that is, realize everything inside, we will be able to make friends and communicate with our inner world! And this gives an infinitely pleasant result, because we find the most faithful and best friend – ourselves!
And then we are very pleased to be alone! It gives a feeling of comfort, content and deep respect for yourself and your inner processes!
Then spending the New Year alone does not mean following someone’s rules, but inventing your own – from the standpoint of care, curiosity and self-love, which will be the starting point for necessary change, a new experience of meeting ourselves, which happens when we are distracted from noise and listen to your desires.
After “getting acquainted” with yourself, take the opportunity to give yourself a New Year’s gift. Which? Ask your own intuition. And do not skimp on your beloved.
After all, only by learning to enjoy your company, you will begin to really attract into your life your people, among whom you can come across a future life partner!
