In the Kyiv region on Christmas Day, according to the Gregorian calendar, on December 25, there were more than 50 traffic accidents, one person died.

“On December 25 (in the Kyiv region – ed.) There were a total of 54 road accidents, including 1 road accident with victims, 1 person was injured and 1 person died,” the press service said.

On December 25, all Western Christians, as well as most Protestants and a number of Orthodox churches, celebrated Christmas on the Gregorian calendar.

Earlier, the patrol police released statistics, according to which in January-November in Ukraine there were 170,972 accidents, which is 13.8% more than in the same period last year. Of these, 22,456 accidents – with injuries (-6.1%), which killed 2,926 people (-8.5%) and 27,296 people were injured (-6.9%).
