kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – January 1, 2022- Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Lukas Jasina announced that Poland will start its annual presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, on Saturday, the first of January.
“The main goal of the Polish chairmanship will be to resolve regional and frozen conflicts with the support of OSCE structures. Poland intends to act as an honest mediator and mediator between all stakeholders. The organization works by consensus of the participating states. Our efforts will be fully utilized OSCE potential, “the spokesman said.
Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau will officially inaugurate the chairmanship and outline his priorities at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna on 13 January. Poland will cooperate within the framework of the so-called OSCE Troika with the previous and subsequent presidencies – respectively with Sweden and Northern Macedonia. The OSCE Ministerial Council will be held in Lodz in December 2022.
As reported, in 2021 the Organization was headed by Sweden.
