Pensions growth in Ukraine: who will be affected and who will be raised first in 2022

After the increase in payments in several stages, the average pension at the end of 2022 will be 4533 UAH and will be 15% higher than the actual subsistence level. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
Thus, for the next year the calendar of pension increases this year includes:
· Since January, increase in pensions for people with disabilities as a result of the Chernobyl accident;
· In March – indexation of pensions;
· In April – recalculation of pensions for working pensioners;
· In July, October and December there will be an increase due to the increase in the subsistence level and the minimum wage,
· From October – introduction of surcharges for pensioners over 70 years of age.
It is reported that as a result of the implementation of the planned increases for next year, the average pension at the end of 2022 will be 4533 UAH and will be 15% higher than the actual subsistence level. And compared to the beginning of 2020, it will increase by almost 50%.
It is noted that the greatest attention is focused on raising the minimum pensions for people who have worked all their lives.
“And from October next year (2022 – ed.) The minimum pension for people over 70 years of age who have full insurance experience will be UAH 3,000. Therefore, the minimum pension for this category from 2020 to 2022 will increase by 83% – from UAH 1,638 to UAH 3,000, which is much faster than the average, “- said the Ministry of Social Policy.
Addition
From October 1, 2022, pensioners aged 70-75 will receive monthly surcharges of up to UAH 300.
