What should be the perfect resume: the opinion of employers and job seekers. The seeker does not always adequately assess the “ideality” of his resume.
There is a big difference between how a job seeker perceives a resume – this important mini-presentation of himself, his experience, knowledge and skills – and how a potential employer sees it. Let’s understand the intricacies of writing the perfect resume,

The first difference in perception that should be kept in mind when preparing a resume: we see ourselves as unique and unique, and a potential employer does not see us at all (and not because he does not want to). Just imagine the number of “unique and unique” applicants for an interesting vacancy. Half of them probably do not meet these requirements, but they all sent a resume – just in case. And you know exactly what is right: experience, education – this position is created for you. The main task is to make your resume stand out against dozens (and possibly hundreds) of other resumes.
I will tell everything I know
It seems to us that the more we talk about ourselves, the more likely it is that the employer will like it. Maybe it will be so – later, at the interview, but not at the stage of consideration of the resume. HR specialists assure that during the first reading of the resume they pay attention only to the first page (and if there are really many searchers – to the first few paragraphs).
What shall I do
Experts in the field of personnel management identify two key types of skills in employees: hard and soft. Rigid – objective, they are easy to assess and measure (these are basic knowledge and technical, managerial, communication skills, ability to teach people, work with equipment). Soft – these are subjective skills (ability to work in a team, confidence, creativity, ability to learn). “Put” the most important information on the first page: personal data, education, last jobs and those professional skills that you consider basic. A competent description of them is sure to attract attention.
And a shoemaker, and a reaper, and a bagpipe
It often seems to us that the obvious details do not hurt: then the resume will look more complete. The employer, on the other hand, expects conciseness, clarity and uniqueness from us. Remember that on the other hand, there are also professionals who read dozens of resumes a day.
What shall I do
Avoid the obvious. To the question “What did you do as the head of the department?” do not answer banality (“Headed the department”). Develop a strategy, train staff, set specific tasks, optimize business processes, results that can be expressed in specific figures – find an explanation for why you held this position and why you should be paid attention now. Undoubtedly, you have exceptional knowledge and skills – they just need to be described and clearly stated on paper.
The main thing – between the lines
Experienced HR professionals read between the lines. When we want to make a good impression by describing ourselves, we, of course, do not agree on something and sometimes decorate. This is generally correct, but do not forget that the attention of a competent specialist will not escape any detail.
What shall I do
Learn to include the necessary information in the resume. Specialists are sure to pay attention to the neat and logically compiled resume, which is clear and convincing achievements of the candidate. It always shows the qualifications and experience of the applicant. Even the optimal placement of information on the page is not a trifle. Such details can be evidence of logic, analytical skills, the ability to interpret information from different points of view. Brief but comprehensive information speaks of professionalism in general.
A special approach
It may seem that the employer will not notice our inattention and unwillingness to try for him. Unfortunately, be sure to notice. No matter how many resumes are on his desks, the unified one is noticeable. Yes, a special approach will take more time, it is complex and energy consuming. But it is the applicant with the perfect resume that the future employer will notice and appreciate in the first place.
What shall I do
Write a resume for each specific position, find the points of maximum correspondence with the company in which you would like to work, and mark them. First of all, try to be the best candidate and match the desired job as much as possible. Research the company you’re sending your resume to and understand how much you like it. No one will say better than you and explain why you are the best candidate for the vacancy. Only you know whether you want to work in a team or individually, be a 100% performer or be creative with each task. Self-confidence and professionalism – such qualities can not but be liked by employers, and the job search is sure to be successful.
