Imports of mandarins, including their varieties – tangerines and satsum, in 2021 amounted to 119.09 million dollars, which is 45.5% more than a year earlier.
At the same time, imports of satsuma tangerines in 2021 amounted to 43.53 million dollars, or 36.55% of all tangerines purchased abroad last year.
Ukraine bought some clementines last year for $ 15.81 million, which is 5.86% more than a year earlier.
Turkey became the largest importer of mandarins in Ukraine in 2021 – by 83.98 million dollars. In second place – Pakistan ($ 9.61 million), in third place – Egypt ($ 8.28 million).
In 2021, Ukraine bought satsuma mandarins from Turkey ($ 43.15 million), Spain ($ 232.04 thousand) and Greece ($ 60.85 thousand).
Ukraine imported the most clementines from Greece in 2021 – by 7.36 million dollars. In second place – Italy ($ 3.29 million), in third place – Spain ($ 2.79 million).
Together, mandarins and clementines in 2021 were purchased by Ukraine for $ 134.9 million, increasing their imports by 39.39% over the year.
