“Friends, the Christmas weekend continues. If you plan to visit New Year’s fairs, various events where there will be a mass gathering of citizens, be careful not to fall victim to thieves. After all, pickpockets are usually “hunted” in places where there are many people to be less visible, “- said in a statement.
Details
The patrol police advise:
- hold a bag or backpack in front of you, not on your shoulders or back;
- not to show the wallet and its contents in crowded places;
- do not carry large sums of money – take as much as you plan to spend;
- do not carry valuables, documents, phones, keys in the outer pockets of clothes, bags and backpacks – it is better to use the inner pockets, waist bags;
- be vigilant when a stranger approaches you on the street, or someone is huddled in a vehicle;
- If you use credit cards – never keep the PIN code with the card in your wallet.
“If you become an eyewitness or a victim of an offense, report it to special line 102 or contact the nearest police station,” the police added.
