Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, expressed her happiness at winning the Government Excellence Award as the best Arab minister, and confirmed that spreading the culture of excellence and quality within the administrative apparatus, supporting institutional competitiveness and working in a team spirit while making a shift in institutional performance is a goal we all strive to achieve, according to The directives of Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
Dr. Hala said, on her Instagram account: “Today I was honored to be awarded the Best Arab Minister for the Arab Government Excellence Award for the year 2020, Excellence is a journey, spreading the culture of excellence and quality within the administrative apparatus, supporting institutional competitiveness and working with a team spirit while making a shift in institutional performance is a goal we seek All to achieve it, according to the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in order to reach efficient and effective government administrative entities that apply the concepts of governance and contribute to the development of the performance of the Egyptian government.
She was the first elected dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University from October 2011 until 2016, and she held the position of Assistant President of Cairo University for Scientific Research and Foreign Relations from September 2013 to 2016, and is one of the well-known female banking figures, where she led the Egyptian Banking Institute, which is the training arm of the bank. The Egyptian Central Authority, for a period of eight years, during which the institute obtained international accreditation (2006-2008).
Al-Saeed took over the portfolio of the Ministry of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform since February 16, 2017 in the Ministry of Sherif Ismail, and continued in the position at the Ministry of Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, and is one of the well-known female banking figures, where she led the Egyptian Banking Institute, which is the training arm of the Central Bank of Egypt for eight years, during which the Institute obtained International accreditation.
Al-Saeed received a Ph.D. in economics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science – Cairo University in 1989, and a master’s degree in economics with excellent grade in 1983, and she obtained a BA in economics with a very good grade with honors in 1978 from the same university.
