You still confuse deodorant and antiperspirant
Deodorant is a product whose main task is to eliminate odors. Antiperspirant has completely different functions – it controls sweating. So if you do not have special problems, and you do not sweat too much, you will find the first tool that simply masks odors.
Use antiperspirant / deodorant immediately after showering or apply on dirty skin
Antiperspirant is applied to clean and dry skin – this is the key to its successful operation. Therefore, make it a rule to use antiperspirant no earlier than 15-20 minutes after taking a shower. If you do not have the opportunity to take a shower, refresh your skin with wet wipes. Never apply antiperspirants and deodorants to the already sweaty surface of the skin, otherwise you will immediately nullify all efforts to combat sweat.
Apply antiperspirant in the morning
It turns out that to allow the product to work properly, it should be allowed to absorb and dry, so it is better to use it after an evening shower, and in the morning wash off the remnants of antiperspirant to protect your clothes from white spots and yourself – from the unpleasant effects of sweating.
Apply too much
In addition to the fact that the antiperspirant does not require daily use, which is usually not reported on the packaging of the tool, we also try to use it as actively as possible – just in case.
It is enough to apply it twice or thrice a week (in some cases once a week), periodically combining with deodorant, spending several times in the armpits, evenly covering the skin.
Excessive and excessive use causes irritation, allergic reactions and other skin problems, as deodorants contain many chemicals that should not be used daily – it’s triclosan, aluminum salts and other components.
Use antiperspirant several times a day or use it inappropriately
If you suffer from hyperhidrosis (profuse sweating), it is much more effective and correct to turn to a specialist – a dermatocosmetologist, who will help solve it with the help of botulinum toxin injections. This substance is used not only to prevent facial activity, but also quite effectively helps to get rid of excessive sweating.
Dress immediately after using antiperspirant / deodorant
Usually, morning work is always in a hurry, so there is no time to wait until the skin dries and the deodorant is absorbed, which leaves white stains on clothes, and sweating can not be avoided at all. If you do not have time in the morning, return to the second point, at least use a hair dryer, pre-turn on the cold mode to dry the skin and allow the antiperspirant to absorb faster.
Use an antiperspirant after shaving
Another surefire way to get irritation and allergic reactions is to combine depilation with subsequent application of antiperspirants. Try to separate these procedures or stand between them long enough for the skin to recover.
