“Ukrgazvydobuvannya’s specialists started using capillary systems technology only a year ago, and only this year they managed to increase gas production in old wells by 67 million cubic meters and reduce production and technological losses,” the statement reads.
It is noted that the technology of capillary systems was used in 75 wells. It allows you to intensify gas production in complex wells prone to fluid accumulation.
According to the report, the average payback of installing a capillary system in a well is up to one year. At the same time, Ukrgazvydobuvannya has examples when the payback was less than a month – in particular, at the well №100 of the West Solokhiv field in Poltava region.

Due to the use of capillary systems, the daily flow rate in the wells of the Bytkiv-Babchynsky field in Ivano-Frankivsk region increased by more than 40%, or 70,000 cubic meters of gas.

As reported, JSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya” last year produced 13.67 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 3.97% less than in 2020.
In 2021, the Naftogaz Group launched 50 new wells in gas fields.
