“Virtual tours of school museums are offered to visit in the Illinovo community. Currently, you can visit three institutions online: in Illinovka, Stepanovka and Oleksandro-Kalinovo. The community is implementing the “Network of Virtual School Museums” project with the support of the British Council, “the statement said.
The website of the project “Network of Virtual School Museums” says that this is the first 3D tour of school museums in Ukraine, interactive virtual tours here with audio in Ukrainian, English and German. On the site you can choose the historical and ethnographic museum “Living Tradition” Illinivka, historical and local lore museum “Source” in Stepanov School and the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life “Environment”, where the school museum of Alexander Kalinov transferred its exhibits. Each museum has many interesting, ancient exhibits.
As noted, the British Council provided 50 thousand UAH for the implementation of the project “Network of Virtual School Museums” under the program “Active Citizens”. For this amount, they bought cameras, stabilizers and other necessary equipment for work, as well as 3D-Vista for a virtual tour.
The project is also supported by the education department of the Illinois community, in particular, by financing trips to school museums and paying for hosting the site.
According to history teacher Olena Gudimenko, this project is a network of 3D museum tours, ie it is a 360-degree virtualization with interactive elements. There are also interactive buttons, thanks to which you can zoom in on some of the exhibits, see the description.
The Naval Museum in Odessa will be restored
Currently, the “Network of Virtual School Museums” is planned to expand. In particular, they are working on digitizing the exposition at Zoryansky educational institution. In addition, Illinivka has agreements with two schools in Mariupol to create a 3D tour. They also plan to cooperate with the 26th Odessa school, where there is an interactive wall about the history of the city. In the future, the team of the network of virtual school museums wants to digitize it.
