It is reported that in the afternoon of Friday, January 14 and on the night of January 15, strong winds in the region damaged power lines, completely or partially tore off roofs, felled dozens of trees in all districts of Chernihiv region.

It is reported that emergency repairs are underway by JSC “Chernihivoblenergo”, 48 teams are working.
In the village of Sosnytsia, in particular, the roof of the Sonechko kindergarten was destroyed due to strong winds, the report says.
The regional state administration reports that today, January 15, the first deputy head of the Chernihiv regional state administration, Konstantin Megem, and a team of specialists are already working at the site of the emergency. The extent of the damage and the best way to restore the roof are currently being determined.
Also, the gust of wind over the past day has created problems on the roads of the region. According to the Chernihiv Oblast Road Service, 32 tree trunks have been removed from state roads in recent hours.
