Rustem Yumerov, head of the Ukraine-Turkey Interparliamentary Friendship Group, said the visit would take place on February 3.
“February 3 is an important place in the context of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Because on February 3, 1992, diplomatic relations between Turkey and Ukraine were established for the first time. February 3, 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of relations between the two countries,” the statement said.
During his visit to Ukraine, President Erdogan is expected to hold a tete-a-tete meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.
President Erdogan, who is expected to travel to Ukraine with a large delegation, will chair the 10th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council with his counterpart Zelensky.
Following the meeting, the delegations of Turkey and Ukraine are expected to sign agreements and memoranda of understanding on agreed issues. It is also noted that the agreements will be of a defensive nature.
