What is toner?

What is the essence?
It is a more concentrated product than toners and serums. Unlike the latter, which often solve a certain skin problem, the essences have a universal effect. Due to the light molecular weight of the essence easily and deeply penetrates the epidermis, intensively affects the skin to solve certain problems. It is applied after the toner, but not instead. The essence enhances the action of the following means – serums, emulsions and creams.
Many cosmetologists recommend using the essence after the procedure to speed up the process of skin regeneration and provide it with full hydration.
The essence usually contains vitamin complexes, extracts, peptides and other beneficial components for the skin. Except for oils, which allows you to use this product for any skin type.
The texture of the essence is almost always liquid, light, watery. You can use the product in the morning and evening every day.

What is an emulsion?
This is a stand-alone tool, unlike toner and essence. In properties and texture it is very similar to cream, but is much lighter. Especially if you compare in the line of one brand. The emulsion is an absolute favorite among owners of oily skin, because it literally melts on the face, leaving no oiliness and stickiness. The main action – moisturizing.
The emulsion is applied before a cream or night mask. In some cases, it can completely replace the cream or easily alternate with it. Ideal product for summer when you do not want to apply thick textures. In the cold season it is applied under the cream as an additional food. It perfectly “seals” moisture inside the skin.
Toner, essence and emulsion are available in the daily care of Korean women. And this is not surprising, because the main philosophy of Korean care – the gradual hydration of the skin. This is what the action of these tools is aimed at.
