Czech studio Bohemia Interactive on the official website of its shareware multiplayer shooter Vigor announced an unexpected delay in the version of the game for PlayStation 4.
Recall that as part of gamescom 2020, the developers announced plans to release the PS4 edition of the game on November 25 (that is, yesterday). The cherished date has passed, but the project never came out on the Sony console.
As it turned out, from now on it is planned that the release of Vigor on PS4 will take place simultaneously with the premiere of the shooter on the PlayStation 5. Both versions are now announced for the holiday period of this year.
“The lion’s share of our team is working from home again, and we overestimated our strength and underestimated the time it took to prepare [Vigor for a PlayStation release] ,” explained the transfer to Bohemia Interactive.
According to the developers, the team faced some difficulties only at the last moment, and therefore the studio did not manage to inform the public in advance about the impending delay.
Previously, Bohemia Interactive promised Vigor users seamless switching from PS4 to PS5 and back as the versions share saves. It is noted that gamers on the PlayStation with the owners of other consoles will not be able to play.
Vigor was released in August 2019 on Xbox One, and in July 2020 reached the Nintendo Switch. Bohemia Interactive has no plans to release the project on PC or mobile devices yet.
