Freshly squeezed juices
Natural juices spoil faster than pasteurized ones. Their shelf life is several hours.
Refrain from buying such drinks on the street, in cafes and restaurants.
Soil particles, bacteria and germs can get into the liquid, leading to poisoning. If you like freshly squeezed juice, prepare it at home from pure fruit.
Ready salads
Salads in supermarkets are prepared from expired products. Mayonnaise and fatty sauces promote accelerated reproduction of bacteria. So, you are buying a “fresh” dish that can lead to unpleasant consequences.
Love salads – make them at home from good products.
Such a dish can be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 2-3 days, and at room temperature for no more than 6-12 hours (depending on the composition).
Fresh fish
Fresh fish is a dangerous product even if stored properly. Insufficient heat treatment can infect parasites. And if it starts to smell bad, throw it away right away. Overdue seafood is deadly to humans: they cause loss of consciousness, shock, tachycardia, coma.
Dairy products
Harmful microorganisms, intestinal infections, and mold multiply well in the protein-fat environment. This applies to fresh milk, kefir, yogurt, cheese, soft cheeses. Particularly dangerous are products made from unpasteurized farm milk.
Hard cheese does not pose a significant threat, even if it has been in the refrigerator for a long time. You can cut the top layer and redo. For example, sprinkle on top of a dish baked in the oven.
Sausage, sausages
Even large amounts of preservatives do not save sausages from rotting if they have expired or have not been stored.
At best, you can get vomiting, diarrhea, at worst – severe poisoning, nervous system damage (botulism) or coma. In the presence of botulism, lethal outcome occurs in 30-50% of cases.
Chicken eggs
Eggs are not eaten raw. They are added to the dough, fried, boiled – subjected to heat treatment, so the expiration date is not paid.
But salmonella, botulinum toxin and other harmful microorganisms can withstand even high temperatures.
Do not take risks, send the expired product in the trash.
Berries
The berries have a short shelf life. Soft species (raspberries and strawberries) will be able to lie in the refrigerator for about two days, then they will begin to rot. Berry “puree” contains a lot of sugar, which is a favorable environment for bacteria to multiply. For example, you can easily get a nasty disease – cyclosporosis. Main symptoms: nausea, prolonged diarrhea, abdominal cramps, fever.
Chicken meat
Poultry can be more dangerous than spoiled beef or pork.
Traces of feathers, feces and other contaminants remain on the skin. And it contains bacteria that cause a whole bunch of diseases: from poisoning to brain disorders.
If you feel that the product has a strange smell, has become sticky, send “biological weapons” immediately to the landfill. Make sure that pets and wild animals do not have access to the product.
