A record 2,418 coronavirus patients were found in Kyiv over the past 24 hours. 7 people died. The mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko reported about it on Saturday .

According to the mayor, during the day fell ill:
• 1265 women aged 18 to 98 years
• 735 men aged 18 to 86
• 197 girls from 3 months to 17 years and 221 boys from 3 months to 17 years
He added that among those who died:
• 3 women from 70 to 89 years
• 4 men from 62 to 81 years
The mayor also said that 83 patients with coronavirus were hospitalized in the capital’s hospitals. As well as 110 patients with suspected COVID-19 and pneumonia.
“The highest number of cases was detected in the districts: Desnyansky (424), Darnytsky (371) and Shevchenkivsky (268),” Klitschko added.

A total of 4,017,961 patients with coronavirus have been registered in Ukraine. During the past 24 hours, on January 28, 37,351 new cases of infection were detected – an anti-record since the beginning of the pandemic.
On January 20, the Ministry of Health noted a new outbreak with the epicenter in western Ukraine. The Ministry of Health said that in the coming weeks Ukraine will reach the peak incidence of COVID-19 during the current wave. The number of cases of infection is expected at 40-60 thousand people per day.
