International Day without the Internet
This year the holiday falls on January 30. The event was introduced in 2000, when the Internet was just gaining popularity. Today it is a space where people can work, communicate, find information and have fun. In the developed world, society cannot exist without a network on any given day. However, people need to be reminded that there is a wonderful world around them that needs their attention. This is why this holiday was invented.
Day of the specialist of military and social management of the Armed Forces
The main responsibilities of a person holding such a position are: conducting educational work in military circles, psychological rehabilitation of ATO / OOS participants, professional and psychological selection of citizens called up to the Armed Forces. That is, psychologists, sociologists and other specialists celebrate their professional holiday on January 30. They help to create a positive image of the Armed Forces and are responsible for discipline in the army.
World Leprosy Day
The event is traditionally held on the last Sunday of January. It was introduced by Raoul Follero, who was a well-known public figure and spent most of his life fighting this serious disease. Even today, the disease is very common in Nepal, Brazil, India and Myanmar.
Remembrance Day of Anthony of Dym (Great)
He is considered the founder of monasticism and the hermitage of the clergy.
Reverend Anthony was born in Egypt. His family was very rich and professed Christianity. That is why the boy was brought up according to Christian canons. When his parents died, Anthony donated all his inheritance to the needy and the poor, and he went to live in a cave. There he practiced spiritual development and prayed daily.
Then he found refuge in the ruins of the fortress. Anthony lived there for 20 years. The monk founded a monastery, but he himself rarely visited it. He came only to teach instructions to his disciples and believers.
He was also acquainted with Paul of Thebes. Paul was one of those who buried Anthony when he died at the age of 105 in his cave.
