The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the meeting approved a draft presidential decree on the Day of the employee of the state registration of civil status .

“Establish a professional holiday in Ukraine – the Day of the employee of the state registration of civil status, which will be celebrated annually on February 11,” – said in the text of the decree.
Details
As stated in the explanatory note, with the independence of Ukraine on December 24, 1993, the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Status Registration Bodies” was adopted for the first time, which regulated the legal and organizational basis of civil status registration bodies of Ukraine.
The law came into force on February 11, 1994.
