The state joint-stock holding company “Artem” will receive UAH 49 million from the state budget for 2021 for the development of artillery ammunition and the supply of unguided aircraft missiles.
This is stated in the Ministry of Defense.
“In 2020, the Ministry of Defense financed the development of artillery ammunition and the supply of unguided aircraft missiles in the amount of UAH 49 million by the Artem State Joint-Stock Holding Company,” the report said.
It is noted that additional orders have also been prepared for unguided aircraft missiles, Neptune missile systems and missiles for the Alder complex in the amount of about UAH 900 million, in which the Artem State Holding Company is the main executor or co-executor.
“Taking this into account, the issue of contracts for the Armed Forces cannot be critical for the stable operation of the enterprise and rather lies in a different plane. Both of an objective nature, in particular, of a pandemic and a total lockdown, and of subjective factors, the defense department for ethical reasons will not comment “, – said the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The Ministry of Defense noted that the department orders defense products from domestic enterprises in accordance with the needs and priorities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, determined by the General Staff.
“The statements of the company’s management to transfer from the first quarter of next year about 70% of employees of the Artem State Holding Company to a one-day working week are a matter of concern, since it is a natural question: how, under such conditions, the enterprise plans to fulfill its obligations under the state defense order,” the press service said.
