Zira and cumin
Both spices are similar to twins, but have completely different tastes and smells. Zira (cumin) smells stronger, it is larger and lighter, it is added to various oriental dishes. Cumin is smaller, darker, it is used to flavor sausage, bread, even brew kvass, beer and vodka.
Cinnamon and cassia
These spices are related. Both tubes are dried bark of different trees. Cinnamon is cut from young stems, twisted in 6-10 layers. Due to its fragility, it is often sold ground. The taste is mild, warming. Cassia is cut from an adult tree, the bark of which is dense, it is twisted on one side. Such sticks are difficult to break with your hands, they are well preserved. The taste is burning and spicy.
Cilantro and parsley
They are very similar to each other. If you look closely, cilantro leaves are smaller, more rounded, the smell is sharp, spicy. Parsley is more popular in Europe and Ukraine, and its “sister” in the south and east. Add the plant to salads, soups, meat dishes.
Salmon and trout
Fish belong to the salmon family, but salmon fillets (also known as Atlantic salmon) are lighter and fatter. In trout, the meat is dense, deep red, the fat layers are smaller. Unlike salmon, trout can be river trout. Both fish are good because of their high content of omega-3 fatty acids.

Blueberries and blueberries
Many people call blueberries all blue-blue berries. Blueberry (also known as gonobobel) is a berry with a blue-white plaque and light flesh. The skin bursts easily, the juice is strongly colored, so it is used as a natural dye. The taste is not so bright.
