Details
In general, the incidence rate of COVID-19 in Ukraine is 1,269 per 100,000 population, while the norm for the “green” zone is up to 75 per 100,000 population. All of the above indicates a worsening of the situation.
Currently, this figure is 16.92 times higher than the established level, although on January 12 the incidence was only twice as high.
In total, the “orange” zone includes 19 regions, including Kyiv, 5 – Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Zakarpattia, Luhansk and Khmelnytsky regions – in the “red”, and only one – Poltava – in the “yellow”.
Addition
Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and in the summer transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine.
Within adaptive quarantine, regions are marked with colors – green, yellow, orange or red – the level of danger of COVID-19 spread, depending on the epidemic situation. Due to the “color” of the region, restrictive measures also differ. Yes, the green level has minimal restrictions. Yellow level – by default operated throughout the country since the introduction of adaptive quarantine. Orange level – set after yellow and indicates a complication of the epidemic situation. Red level – imposes tighter restrictions, as was the case during the January “lockdown”.
On December 6, new quarantine rules came into force, which provide for tightening restrictions in the “yellow” zones. Thus, attending public events, cinemas, theaters, catering establishments and gyms is allowed only if 100% of teams and visitors have at least one dose of vaccination, a negative test or a certificate of recovery.
On December 15, quarantine in Ukraine was extended until April.
Since December 30, all oblasts have been in the “yellow” zone.
On January 20, the Ministry of Health noted a new outbreak with an epicenter in western Ukraine.
On January 24, the Ivano-Frankivsk region moved to the “red” zone. Rivne region joined it on January 27. On February 11, Zakarpattia, Luhansk and Khmelnytsky regions also moved to the “red” zone.
