Firefly Aerospace is a private US-Ukrainian aerospace company headquartered in Austin, Texas, USA.
Founded in 2014, the company is developing light launch vehicles for launching cargo into space.
Firefly Aerospace has developed the Alpha rocket. The first launch was repeatedly postponed. It finally took place in September 2021 and was a failure. The Alpha blast was broadcast live. Nevertheless, the Alpha test flight was called successful in Firefly.
