Ukraine Gate – Kiev – February 20, 2022- According to the results of the 2022 “White” Games, the Ukrainian national team that took the “silver” took 25th place in the team ranking among the 91st countries in the world. Ukrainian athletes completed their performances at the 24th Winter Olympic Games in Beijing (China).
The 2018 Korean Champion Pyeongchang of Korea, Ukrainian freestyle wrestler Oleksandr Abramenko on the Olympic pedestal for the second time in a row, this time won a silver medal in figure skating acrobatics.
The Norwegians were the first in the team event with 16 gold, 8 silver and 13 bronze medals. The second – the Germans (12-10-5), the third – the Chinese (9-4-2), the fourth – the Americans (8-9-7), the fifth – the Swedes (8-5-5), the sixth – the Dutch 8-5-4).
Today, February 20, the closing ceremony of the 24th Olympic Games will be held in Beijing, at 2 p.m. Kiev time. The flag bearer of Ukraine will be the 2014 Olympic champion, female athlete.
The upcoming XXV Olympic Winter Games will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, from February 6 to 22, 2026.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian national team since independence has won 9 medals at the Winter Olympics – 3 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze.
