The IMF mission begins work in Ukraine
The mission of the International Monetary Fund begins on Wednesday, February 23, in the format of an online discussion of the program of cooperation with Ukraine against the background of the Russian crisis. This is stated in a statement issued today by IMF Resident Representative Wagram Stepanyan.

The IMF’s 18-month Stand-By Program with $ 5 billion access was approved on June 9, 2020 to support balance of payments and budgets as the Ukrainian government struggles with the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic shock. This program should consolidate past achievements and promote Ukraine through important structural reforms to minimize key vulnerabilities.
Now the cooperation program has been extended until the end of June 2022.
