The captain of the women’s biathlon team of Ukraine Olena Pidhrushna shared her impressions from the start of the new season.
In the first races of the new season, which started in Kontiolahti, Finland, the athletes of the Ukrainian national team twice got into the top ten. The author of one of such results was Elena Pidgrushna. “I have probably never seen an athlete in my life who would be very happy with that when he finished in 50th place. Of course, I can’t know what’s going on in everyone’s head, but for example, yesterday was also difficult for me. We analyzed the race with the coach a lot and finally came to a common opinion about the result in the individual race, and what and how to work on. However, the season is just beginning. I saw well how the team worked, what work the athletes did, and personally I believe in the next high results, ”Pidhrushna emphasized.
