Economic patriotism: experts and people’s deputies told how the President’s help is now useful for business
Recently, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that domestic business should remain in Ukraine, protect the economy and finances of the state, and create jobs. In turn, the government is ready to help entrepreneurs in every possible way. People’s Deputy Nina Yuzhanina commented on the President’s statement, calling on the guarantor of the Constitution to ease the conditions for doing business in Ukraine,

So, for example, it is appropriate to reduce the tax burden on business, says the people’s deputy. As an example, Yuzhanina reminded of the tax changes that came into force on January 1, 2022.
“There are several norms in this draft law that have hit poultry farming hard. The first – they can not be in the fourth group of taxation, and the second – to increase the land tax for this category of entrepreneurs. Small producers who raise up to a thousand poultry heads should definitely not fall under these innovations, ”the People’s Deputy clarified.
The unsubstantiated statements of people’s deputies to amend the law have not been reflected in the draft law, Yuzhanina continued.
“As a result, poultry farmers are in a very difficult position,” she added.
Mykhailo Sokolov, Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, shares the People’s Deputy’s opinion. However, in this particular case, people’s deputies have to help domestic business, not the president, he is convinced.
“The Verkhovna Rada had a consensus that the bill should be included in the agenda and voted quickly. Personally, I do not see any resistance from people’s deputies to return poultry to the 4th group of taxation.
However, the problem is the lack of space on the agenda. Today we have to wait a long time for consideration of certain draft laws, ”he commented.
To the topic
A number of associations have called on the Office of the President, the Prime Minister and the Verkhovna Rada to rectify the disastrous situation. They claim that the abnormal rise in energy and feed prices has already led to a reduction in domestic production. If tax pressure is added, Ukraine could lose its poultry industry and be forced to import products, risking the country’s food security.
