The EU Council also agreed on a further package of individual and economic measures, including Belarus, to respond to the Russian Federation’s unprovoked and unjustified military aggression against Ukraine.
In addition to freezing the assets of the President and Foreign Minister of Russia, the European Union is imposing restrictive measures on members of the National Security Council of the Russian Federation who supported Russia’s recognition of the two non-governmental territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts as independent entities.
