“The Crimean Tatar People’s Majlis calls on the international community to recognize Russia as a terrorist state and its military and political leadership as international criminals,” the statement said.
He also called on NATO, the United States and the EU to close the skies over Ukraine and impose a full embargo on oil supplies from Russia. The Majlis appeals to the heads of state – members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to “stop all forms of cooperation with Russia and cooperation with war criminals who lead this terrorist state.”
At the same time, he called on the leaders of the Turkic member states to condemn Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and demand that Vladimir Putin immediately cease hostilities against Ukraine and liberate the occupied Ukrainian territories, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
The representative body of the Crimean Tatar people supported the initiative of the Verkhovna Rada to establish a tribunal by the UN General Assembly to consider the crimes of the Putin regime against Ukraine, Georgia and other states.
It is also noted that the Mejlis admires the courage, bravery, dedication and patriotism of Ukrainian civil society. At the same time, every Russian soldier who set foot on Ukrainian soil is asked to immediately lay down his arms and surrender.
