The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine named the amount of debt that Ukraine must repay in December on a foreign debt loan. It is a sum of 350 million dollars at the rate of the National Bank, as announced in the Ministry of Finance.
Note that this amount is Ukraine’s external debt. In the national currency, the country must pay 1.43 billion hryvnias for servicing and 8.52 billion hryvnias for repaying foreign debt.
The country also has to pay 27.16 billion hryvnias on its domestic debt. In particular, this December the country will pay 6.57 billion hryvnias for servicing the domestic debt and 20.59 billion hryvnias for its repayment.
By 2021, the public debt will amount to 467.54 billion hryvnias. Of these, UAH 315.47 billion is domestic debt and UAH 152.07 billion is external debt.
It will be recalled that on December 1, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine held a successful auction for the placement of domestic government bonds (IGLBs).
It is indicated that within the framework of this initiative, the Ministry of Finance managed to get 2.664 billion hryvnias into the state budget of Ukraine by selling IGLBs.
