Ukraine Gate -Kiev- March 4, 2022- According to the results of the survey conducted by the research company Gradus Research, 82% of Ukrainians believe in Ukraine’s victory in the war over Russia, 8% are not sure, and 10% cannot answer.
According to Ukrainians, the key to victory is the strength of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (63% of participants) and the unity and resistance of Ukrainian society (61%). 58% of the respondents stated that military aid comes from Western countries, and 49% called for tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation.
At the same time, 77% of respondents believe that the result of the war for our country will be the strengthening of Ukraine, for Russia – global isolation (70%) and the undermining of the economy (65%).
The Armed Forces of Ukraine is the institution in which the population enjoys the highest level of confidence (63%). In second place was President Volodymyr Zelensky (54%), and in third place – voluntary organizations (39%).
The most common feelings Ukrainians experience due to Russia’s war against Ukraine are anger (62% of respondents), followed by tension (38%), fear (35%), annoyance (26%) and disappointment (17%).
The majority in all regions of the country is convinced that Ukraine is able to repel the Russian attack.
Respondents believe that the best outcome of the talks is peace on Ukrainian terms (47%) or at least the withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian territory (37%). Only 1% of respondents agreed to accept peace on Russian terms.
The majority of Ukrainians blame the Russian leadership for the war (46%), and 40% believe everyone is to blame: the leadership, political elites and the people of the aggressor country.
For 72% of Ukrainians, life has changed radically since the beginning of the war, with 13% leaving their place of permanent residence.
The survey was conducted from February 28 to March 1, 2022 by self-completion of the questionnaire in the mobile application. It was attended by 2,144 respondents between the ages of 18 and 60 from cities of over 50,000 residents. The study is represented by gender, age, settlement size and area.
