Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a decree restricting or banning the import and export of certain products and raw materials from Russia in 2022, but the list of those products that will be restricted and / or banned has not yet been determined by the government.
The government will have to determine the list of states covered by these decisions within two days, RIA notes, but adds that these restrictions will not apply to products or raw materials that citizens transport for personal use.
Putin’s ban took effect when US President Joe Biden announced on Tuesday that his administration was banning imports of Russian energy, including oil, natural gas and coal, in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
