Designer Elena Yastreb recently presented accessories for her jewelry brand Yastreb Jewelry at Paris Fashion Week, and has now created a new collection in collaboration with influencers. The capsule is dedicated to the realities of the modern world, which are gradually being transferred to the virtual plane. The collection includes both silver and gold jewelry, and brass accessories with elements of gems, engraving and colored enamel. To create the collection, the brand turned to eight bloggers working in various fields and asked to create jewelry that will embody their inner world and lifestyle. Olympia Whitmustash, Natasha Naffi, Chris Solomakha, Vita Bulana, Olena Kostykova, Maria Dudar and others became influencers. Vogue.ua talked to some of them about the new collection of Yastreb Jewelry and learned all the details.
Olympia Whitmustash
I haven’t had to invent jewelry yet, so I took the process very seriously. It was important that they did not resonate with those available on the market and at the same time were in tune with the Yastreb brand, and most of all – impressed me. I came up with my own style and came up with some jewelry that would combine some glam and brutality. The oval cafe is the letter O, the first letter of my name. “Ray” is probably an echo of my imagination. It is associated in me with rays of light energy penetrating from within. As for the cafe “L’amour” – just wanted to have some inscription on his face. The word “love” came to mind first – where without it? Later, I suggested to Elena to make these cafes custom, nominal. So soon the same earring will shine on my cheek, only with the inscription Olympia.
I wear jewelry all the time. Properly selected jewelry can decorate even the most basic thing. Cafe “L’amour” is suitable for every day, but will be appropriate for the “evening toilet”. Cafe “O” will set the tone for your evening, whether a trip to a restaurant or a solemn event. “Ray” among the three most elegant. It can be worn on one ear or on both at the same time. In the second case, the image of a beautiful elf is created. All jewelry is universal for any style: they look equally good with an evening dress and with minimalist black clothes.
Natasha Naffy
I really wanted to take part in creating women’s jewelry. The result is a massive silver earrings with pearls, which just add tenderness and sophistication to the jewelry. For me, these earrings are the embodiment of beauty, energy, style and femininity. I put a part of myself in them and I think that complete harmony came out. Decoration is first of all a supplement to the image. It is bright, but does not overshadow the true beauty. All women are beautiful. That’s what these earrings are about.
Jewelry plays a big role in my images. For example, these earrings are such an elegant casual, and they will harmonize with almost any way. Even if you just wear jeans and a top, or a sweater … put on earrings and everything is not so banal. This is my first experience in such an interesting collaboration and I am very pleased that the designer and I got along great. It turned out immediately as I imagined.
Chris Straw
I wanted to realize jewelry that could be worn every day, as well as combined with something special. We took as a basis a drawing on my hand – a tattoo with a picture of a chain, which became a source of inspiration for jewelry. For me, these silver pendants and earrings with turquoise enamel mean strength and power with elements of a kind of femininity.
For the first time I had the experience of creating jewelry for a jewelry brand and I am honestly very happy with the result, because I willingly wear these jewelry and they remind me of my superpower. Without exaggeration, jewelry plays a major role in my life. I wear them every day, there are times when I can forget to put on my favorite chains, then even go home for them. For me, pendants and earrings with chains Yastreb – universal jewelry that will be appropriate for both everyday images and for a romantic date.

One beautiful moment just wanted variety. I really like jewelry, but I always prefer restrained classics, and now, given how things are developing rapidly, I realized that I want to try something new in my own style, and jewelry is a great way to start changing something. When creating jewelry for Yastreb Jewelry, I thought about freedom and expression of individuality. Rings with exquisite silver chains with zircons embody my style and character best.
For me it was the first experience, but I hope not the last, because I want to work with such a cool team for a long time. These jewelry is designed to delight everyone, improve mood and give self-confidence. Personally, I wear jewelry every day, they complement my images, always make them brighter and more individual. I believe that a more restrained classic version can be worn during the day: for work, classes, walks, and jewelry with a chain will easily complement the evening images for dates, meetings with friends and loud parties.
Olena Kostikova
My travels to Asia and Latin America have been the starting point for jewelry making. In Ayutthaya, about 6 years ago, I had two shaman sak yant tattoos on my right forearm. One of them – Hah Thaeo, five lines or symbolic traces of tiger claws. It is the mantras of this sak yant that we have chosen for engraving earrings-rings made of silver with gilding. This is a special connection of the product with me, my way of life, thinking and spiritual principles. Earrings – a minimalist interpretation of jewelry worn by women of Khmer culture. They are painted by engraving with mantras in the Pali language (the ancient language of northern India). Since there was no writing in the pile, the letters of the Khmer alphabet were used. Jewelry, like clothes or tattoos, helps people to understand without words what you are talking about. These earrings are quite versatile. Rings in the ears have always been and are in trend, and these are also stylized as jewelry of the ancient peoples of Asia. I like that they look good with both a dress and jeans, and do not make their owner hostage to any particular style.
“When you are a creator in the material world, you get used to the fact that every fantasy can be shaped, and any fiction can become a real object with its own entourage and physical parameters. It has always been easier for me to express my inner emotions and feelings by creating sketches. I wanted to see how it would work out for people with a different character and the habit of sharing their inner world verbally, ”says designer Olena Yastreb.
