Wallace told lawmakers that Ukraine’s defense capabilities needed to be strengthened, and in response to Ukraine’s inquiries, the British government decided to consider donating high-speed portable Starstreak anti-aircraft missiles.
“We believe that this system will remain within the scope of defining weapons, but will allow Ukrainian forces to better protect their skies. We will also increase supplies of rations, medical equipment and other non-lethal military assistance,” Wallace said. .
The Minister of Defense also said that the United Kingdom has increased supplies of anti-tank weapons (NLAW), small arms and ammunition to Ukraine.
“As of today, we have delivered 3615 NLAW and continue to supply more. We will also soon begin supplying a small batch of Javelin anti-tank missiles. I want to assure the House that everything we do is a decision to supply defense systems and to the strategic level, “Wallace said.
