“The President of Ukraine V. Zelensky signed the Law of Ukraine” On Basic Principles of Compulsory Seizure of Property of the Russian Federation and Its Residents in Ukraine “adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”, the Committee on Economic Development .
Details
This law defines the legal basis for the forcible removal of property rights (including in cases where military necessity so requires) of the Russian Federation, as a state that has started a full-scale war against Ukraine, and its residents.
According to the Law, the forcible confiscation of property of the Russian Federation and its residents in Ukraine is carried out without any compensation (reimbursement) of their value, given the full-scale aggressive war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
