The Ministry of Education and Science is canceling university entrance exams. According to the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet on one of the TV channels, the agency is working out a mechanism for one-time cancellation of admission to universities with external evaluation, EMI (single entrance exam) and EFVV (single professional entrance exam) in 2022 .

“There will be no entrance exams. Under the onslaught of Russian aggression, we, together with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, have decided to introduce a one-time abolition of university admissions based on the results of the External Evaluation, EMI and EHEA in 2022,” said Scarlett.

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Science will abolish the STA for 11th grade students. Previously, this was done for 4th and 9th grade students. The Minister of Education added that the mechanism with the replacement of exams is being worked out and will be announced in the near future.
“I will note that the university will not conduct any exams on its own. This is necessary in order to prevent corruption during the accession process, ”Scarlett concluded.

Following the declaration of martial law in Ukraine, the Ministry of Education recommended that educational institutions declare a two-week vacation due to the Russian invasion.
On March 7, the Ministry of Education and Science recommended continuing education in higher and secondary educational institutions remotely, but with the consent of the military-civil administrations and parents.
