President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi has signed decrees on awards for 106 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 17 of them – posthumously.

“I have signed two important decrees awarding state awards to Ukraine to 106 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who bravely proved themselves in the battles for Ukraine’s independence, 17 of them, unfortunately, posthumously, but they are heroes,” the head of state said.

Zelensky also signed a decree conferring the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star:
Senior Sergeant Vasych Serhiy Viktorovych posthumously. He bravely defended our positions in the Kiev region, as well as destroyed enemy equipment and a significant number of enemy forces.
Senior soldier Parkhomenko Vitaliy Vasyliovych posthumously. During the counterattack near the town of Makariv, he inflicted heavy losses on the enemy and died heroically defending his comrades.
Soldier Mrochka Konstantin Vasilyevich posthumously. He fought bravely against the overwhelming forces of the enemy. Thanks to his effective actions, the occupiers suffered painful losses.
Soldier Svinchuk Oleg Anatoliyovych posthumously. He heroically performed his duties against the overwhelming forces of the enemy, and to the last helped his colleagues.
Sergeant Khanin Andriy Pavlovich posthumously. He defended Volnovakha in the Donetsk region, destroyed an enemy tank and about 10 opponents.
Sergeant Derusova Inna Nikolaevna posthumously. She has been a senior combat medic since February 24 in Okhtyrka, Sumy Oblast. The sergeant rescued more than 10 servicemen. She died from artillery shelling by Russian troops. At the same time, she is the first woman Hero of Ukraine to be posthumously awarded this title.
